Trip to the Inland Sea

I was 6 weeks post op when we took this trip to the Inland Sea. My back and discs survived very well, with no soreness the next day at all.

Jim and I went with a group to the Inland Sea. We went with a group through the dunes, which is quite an exciting ride. The group stopped just before entering the dunes and deflated our tires to about 15 psi. The ride was smooth as glass in some sections, and very bumpy in others. It is very difficult to photograph! When we got to our destination, we all backed up to the water and enjoyed a nice picnic for the afternoon. Two of the families had kids with them, and the kids had a great time swimming in the water. Across from our picnic setup is Saudi Arabia, which is just a short swim away! They were the occasional SUV that would come to the shore from the other side and spy on us. As if any of us would want to enter Saudi Arabia via a swim! That is as close to Saudi as I ever want to get!

November 2010

November 2010 was consumed by Pam's Artificial Disc Replacement (ADR) at two levels L4/5 and L5/S1 in Bonn, Germany.

Here are the new spinal parts.

End of 2010

In October 2010, we went to Texas to help celebrate Betty Hall's (Jim's mom) 90th Birthday. There was a grand party with about 300 people in attendance.

Here are some photos from that event.
